About the Role

The Program & Operations Administrator will ensure compliance of data collection and reporting for current government contracts; coordinating multiple government projects and programs relating to the development and commercialization of the Volturnus Technology. In addition to working with other members of the Verterra Energy Operations Team, the Program Administrator will engage with technicians, engineers, scientists, suppliers, regulators and administrators outside Verterra.

This startup role offers flexibility of working 10 to 35 hours per week, with the possibility of transitioning to full time as workload dictates. The Program Administrator reports to the CEO.

The ideal Administrator candidate has experience managing Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR), DCAA, government research.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


This position may work remotely, when feasible.


  • Maintain a positive attitude, a passion for excellence, and contribute to the well-being of fellow team members

  • Initiate and draft proposals for a variety of funding applications

  • Manage the requirements for government and project related applications including quotes, timelines/schedules, and budgets

  • Coordinate with outside vendors, contractors, technicians

  • Maintain financial and project reporting requirements pertaining to specific programs

  • Collaborating with team members on quotes, schedules and logistics

  • Familiarity with concepts, management and reporting related to science and engineering projects is strongly desired.


Professional Qualifications and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Relevant work experience in government contracting or reporting, preferably in a field related to science or engineering, technology innovation, research and development, or construction

  • Familiarity with small business programs and grants, especially Federal SBIR/STTR Programs

  • Familiarity with DCAA compliance

  • English Language Fluency

  • US Citizen or US Work Visa

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills, and strong time management skills

  • Be highly organized with a strong attention to detail

  • Be able to create structure in complex situations

  • Ability to ensure strong foundational administrative tools and practices to enable efficient project management and program success, i.e. financial tracking, data collection, document control, etc.

  • Ability to perform well in an environment of varied pace and to turn challenges into opportunities

  • A strong passion and intrinsic motivation to work on our ambitious and meaningful mission


Specific Skills and Needs


  • PC users + some Mac

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Create and maintain records, bills of material, and other documentation related to developed products

  • Experience with data visualization software is a plus

  • F.A.R familiarity

  • DCAA
