About the Role
The Operations & Program Manager will ensure compliance of data collection and reporting for current government contracts; coordinating multiple government projects and programs relating to the development and commercialization of the Volturnus Technology. Additionally, this role may include some digital marketing and operations opportunities; we are looking for someone who can "wear multiple hats" in a dynamic, startup environment.
This startup role offers the flexibility of working 10 to 35 hours per week, with the likelihood of transitioning to full time as workload and opportunities dictate. The Program Administrator will work from Verterra's Prospect Park area facility and remotely when feasible and reports to the CEO.
The ideal Program Administrator candidate has experience managing government contracts, preferably research & development type grants, and DCAA familiarity for a company or a non-profit. This position requires strong planning, coordinating and organizational skills .
Verterra is currently a well-established start-up with a dedicated team and a multi-faceted, experienced Board of Advisers. Applicants should anticipate a need for flexibility and significant potential for growth; specifically, we are looking for candidates who can grow with the company, including taking on additional responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Initiate and draft proposals for a variety of funding applications
Manage the requirements for government and project related applications including quotes, timelines/schedules, and budget.
Frequently collaborating with other team members.
Professional Qualifications and Experience
Relevant work experience in government contracting and reporting
Familiarity with state, Federal grand or competitive solicitation application proposal processes
English Language Fluency
US Citizen or US Work Visa

Be highly organized with a strong attention to detail
Be able to create structure in complex situations

Specific Skills and Needs
PC users + some Mac
Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite
Create and maintain records, bills of material, and other documentation related to developed products
Experience with data visualization software is a plus
Financial records keeping a plus
F.A.R. & DCAA familiarity a plus
